Mathieu le Moal, compositeur de deep house, funk, disco est originaire du Finistère en Bretagne, co fondateur au début 2016 du label Lands'end Records.
Mathieu a toujours souhaité marquer ses compositions de l'empreinte des musiques issues de la culture noire américaine et rappeller leur filiation directe avec la House Music.
Dans les années 90, DJ MAT fait ses débuts dans les discothèques finistériennes (A l'ouest, Calao...) puis amené par Kanabeach, il se produit dans différents clubs parisiens (Folies Pigalle, Parc des buttes chaumonts).
A travers son dernier EP Gabriel, Mathieu rend hommage au gospel en associant une house organique et profonde à des voix souls issues du negro spiritual.
«le gospel, au dela d'une culture, était l'unique moyen d'expression à travers les chants et les danses. Des églises à Congo Square, c'est pendant ces rares instants de liberté que sont nés les plus grands courants musicaux encore bien vivants aujourd'hui. »

Lands'end Records est un label indépendant qui choisit de produire une musique issue des influences afro américaines. Le label se donne la liberté de se démarquer, loin des formats et tendances, les réalisations Lands'end Records et ses collaborations seront écclectiques et ouvertes.


Mathieu le Moal, co-founder of the 'Lands'end Records' label and deep house, funk and disco composer is originally from Finistere in Brittany.
Mathieu has pursued a desire for his compositions to be etched with the footprint of music originating from black American culture and their direct heritage of House Music.
In the 1990's, Mat the DJ started out in the disco's of Finnistere (A l'ouest, Calao...) and then was taken by (the surf clothing brand) Kanabeach to perform in various Paris clubs (Folies Pigalle, Parc des buttes chaumonts).
Via his latest EP 'Gabriel' Mathieu pays hommage to gospel, associating it with organic house and profound soul voices from the negro spiritual.
"Gospel, above and beyond a culture, was an only means of expression via it's songs and dance.  The churches of Congo Square, during their rare moments of freedom gave life to the greatest musical currents, still very much alive today"
Lands'end Records is an independant label which choses to produce music born of afro american influences.  The label allows itself the freedom to stand out, far from formulas and trends, the achievements of Lands'end and it's contributors will be eclectic and open.
